Population 2

Hi all, Listy here. So you may have seen our little foray into the world of music video's. The song is called Population 2 and is about that feeling you get when you are so deeply in love with another person that at times the world just seem to just go on around you, leaving you alone and just letting you be completely into each other and nothing else. It's also about a deeper bond that sometimes we are lucky enough to experience. Where both people know that no matter how badly they fuck up or fight, their connection will always win out in the end. Making this film clip was a real laugh. We decided to do it one lazy Sunday afternoon for something different to do with our friends and we love the finished product. We slowed the song down to 1/8th of the speed and I had to sit there and play along in super slow motion while ignoring everything that was going on in the background which was a bit of a challenge and really embarrassing. Most people don't like hearing the sound of their own voice at the best of times but slow it down to an unnatural speed and then have all your friends listening to it with you in the room. It literally felt like the song would never end! All the guys that participated did a great job! They're a real bunch a characters and were doing some insanely funny stuff behind me which made it all that much harder to stay straight. Have a really good look and see some of the stuff they incorporated into the clip. Few budding young actors/actresses there I think. I feel it ended up having that kind of old talky film feel about it...you know those old movies where the words were put up on the screen and the music was played live in the theatre! Very retro. Thanks to everyone who came along and drank beer with us that day. We appreciate the effort. Hope you enjoy the song and the clip and get a bit of a laugh out it. Thanks also to Smithy for putting in the hours with the idea and getting it happening, and Angie for keeping us all in line and making sure we had a take we could used before we were all to pissed.
